This research work was conducted to investigate the effects of social media on academic performance of students in university of Ghana. The type of research adopted was descriptive survey and the instrument for data collection was the questionnaire. A total sample size of two hundred (200) using cluster sampling technique of probability sampling was used to acquire the relevant data from the population. This study tries to examine research on Islamic digital libraries in reputable journals. This study uses descriptive statistical analysis based on 47 publications of selected articles or papers related to Islamic digital libraries which are processed with VOSviewer software. This study finds that research that examines the theme of Islamic digital libraries is still very minimal. The library is a milestone in the history of Islamic civilization and progress in ancient times. This study also found that digital libraries that provide facilities regarding Islamic fields and studies must be developed in relation to the increasingly sophisticated era.

Our focus during the development of this tool was specifically to address the concerns of our Loyola Marymount University faculty about Open Access journals, but this rubric may be applied more broadly to any kind of journal.
