The primary purpose of this project is to promote planning on a watershed basis in the Portland Metropolitan area. We intend to support Metro's Regional Planning Framework process by encouraging a stewardship ethic based on watershed considerations. Atlases characterizing several of Portland's watersheds will provide specific information to three audiences: planners, community activists, and decision makers. The atlases will provide an information base upon which watershed management processes can be built.

This document contains information developed to enhance the efforts of the Hillsdale Vision Group in making Hillsdale a more accessible and pedestrian-friendly community. There are three primary focus areas in the document.

  • A Pedestrian and Bicycle Accessibility Improvement Study. The purpose of this study is to identify potential pedestrian and bicycle routes to the Hillsdale commercial core. It also suggests methods to implement pedestrian and bicycle accessibility, connectivity, and continuity to the surrounding area.

"Creating Community Through Urban Gardening" represents the commitment of four individuals to assist the Oregon Food Bank (OFB) in its efforts to meet the food needs of the people of Oregon. The project was specifically designed to assist OFB in achieving its strategic goals which seek to "triple the amount of quality food acquired and made available to disadvantaged people" and to "impact the conditions underlying hunger and to promote the empowerment of disadvantaged people to achieve economic independence."
