Getting Radical: Feminism, Patriarchy, And The Sexual-Exploitation Industries, Robert Jensen

Dignity: A Journal of Analysis of Exploitation and Violence

Feminist Action Against Pornography In Japan: Unexpected Success In An Unlikely Place, Caroline Norma, Seiya Morita

Dignity: A Journal of Analysis of Exploitation and Violence

Sex Trafficking Of Women For The Production Of Pornography, Donna M. Hughes Dr.

Donna M. Hughes

Women used in the production of commercial pornography in the U.S. are often subjected to violence and coercion during filming. Often they protest and try to stop the filming or back-out before filming begins. Their protests are ignored or they are pressured by their agent or the director to continue. Their experiences of coercion and trickery often meet the criteria for sex trafficking.

Rhode Island Take Back The Night, Donna M. Hughes Dr.

Donna M. Hughes

It is an honor for me to be here for the 27th Annual Take Back the Night March. Women uniting to take back the night in marches have symbolized women’s resistance to sexual violence and their declaration of freedom and dignity for decades. “Speaking out” against violence is the way we break the conspiracies of silence that the perpetrators try to impose on us.
