Facebook has been adopted by public health organisations for health promotion, psychoeducation and behaviour change campaigns. Studies have underscored the potential advantages of non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs) in decelerating the transmission of COVID-19 and mitigating its severe health consequences. However, these studies did not content analyse these NPI messages especially on Facebook. This study sought to investigate the phenomenon of NPI COVID-19 videos on Facebook that were viewed by Nigerians and Beninese. This study used quantitative content analysis as the research design and analysed 56 Nigerian videos and 36 Beninese videos totalling 92 on Facebook with an inter-rater reliability of 96%. …

Purpose: the prime purpose of this research study is to investigate the application of social media in the marketing of library sources and Services in the university libraries of Pakistan.

Research Design/Methodology/approach: Data were gathered using a survey method and a quantitative research methodology. The Pakistani university librarians were the source of the data, which was gathered both offline and online. Information and communication technology for development (ICT4D) research sporadically leverages information science scholarship. Our qualitative study employs the “information grounds” (IG) lens to investigate the consequences of information exchanges by pregnant women on Facebook, who are vulnerable in the doctor-centric birth culture in rural America. Rarely does any empirical investigation show how administrators routinely control information in online communities and alleviate misinformation, hate speech, and information overload supported by profit-driven algorithms. Thematic analysis of in-depth phone interviews with members and administrators of a “Vaginal Birth After Cesarean” (VBAC) group with over 500 new mothers on Facebook shows that the administrators make 19 choices for recurring, authoritative but evolving 19 information-related activities when (a) forming the VBAC group over Facebook for local new mothers, (b) actively recruiting women who had a VBAC or have related competencies, (c) removing doctors and solicitors from the group, (d) setting …

The article's aim is to evaluate the bibliometric analysis on library services through social media between 2010 and 2021. Data for the library services and social media were taken from the Scopus database using bibliometric analysis. For the purpose of obtaining pertinent information from both data sources, a thorough search method was developed. Ultimately, 138 Scopus records were chosen. VOS viewer software, Biblioshiny, and Excel have all been used for data analysis. A total 138 articles from 2010-2021 and related to library service and social media were retrieved from Scopus. Purpose – The Department of Library and Information Science, Pondicherry University, has a Facebook page created a decade back to reach out to its Alumni and Research Scholars. This research is to collect feedback on the FB page to improvise it.

Design/methodology/approach – A well-structured questionnaire comprising two sections: section A: demographic details and Section B: consist of questions with provisions to rank on a five-point Likert scale, circulated on the Departments Facebook Page (DLIS-Pondicherry-University). This article analyses the articles on Phytochemistry Literature with the tools of Altmetric. For this study, 10 articles on phytochemistry literature were taken for the analysis. This study also compares the Citations received by a publication against the Altmetric score. The study shows that the most of the Publications are shared by the social media Twitter. Moreover readers prefer to read the articles through Reference Manager Mendeley. The study discovers that there is a moderate correlation between Citation and Altmetric Score.
