The primary objective of the article is to present the historical evolution and current state of research in the field of prison libraries: what has been published, when, where, how and by whom it was published, the topic covered, etc. The study is based on the results obtained from the bibliographic databases LISA (ProQuest) and LISTA (EBSCO Publishing) up to early 2023. Entries were manually checked for irrelevant publications, and filters and specific tools, such as OpenRefine, followed by a final manual check, were used to remove duplicate entries. The study analyses research productivity of College and Research Library Journal from 2012 to 2021 using bibliometric method. The journal published 808 research papers within the period. The published papers were analysed to determine, the type of document published, chronological distribution of published documents, authorship pattern, most productive articles and the subject coverage of published articles. The result of the study revealed that the types of documents published in C&RL include articles, book reviews, editorial materials, errata and letters. This study examined the performance of selected IFLA journals for 22 years between 2001 to 2021. The methodology used in this study includes Annual Growth Rate (AGR), Relative Growth Rate (RGR), and Doubling Time (Dt), as well as countries and institutions. With the highest productivity and distribution of publications per year, used to evaluate research productivity. To obtain the information required for this study, the Scopus database was consulted. The article's aim is to evaluate the bibliometric analysis on library services through social media between 2010 and 2021. Data for the library services and social media were taken from the Scopus database using bibliometric analysis. For the purpose of obtaining pertinent information from both data sources, a thorough search method was developed. Ultimately, 138 Scopus records were chosen. Legal academics were once thought to be parasitic on the work of judges, so much so that citing academic work was said to weaken a judgment’s authority. Recent times have however seen prominent academics appointed to the highest courts, and judicial engagement with academic materials appears to have increased. In this light, this article empirically studies academic citation practices in the Singapore High Court. Using a dataset of 2,772 High Court judgments, we show that citation counts have indeed increased over time, even in this first-instance court. The study examines the library consortia research publications of the past two decades in order to gain insight into the development of library consortia, with a special emphasis on Indian contributions adopting Scientometrics analysis technique. Data was collected using the Web of Science abstracting and citation database, which retrieved 983 publications dating from 2001 to 2020. This short commentary introduces and discusses the “Library Philosophy and Practice (LPP) Phenomenon,” wherein a scholarly journal published in a developed country has an extremely large number of authors from developing countries, relative to the typical journal. Elements of journals that fit the LPP phenomenon are discussed, as well as what this phenomenon says about barriers to scholarly publishing for researchers from developing nations. Implications for journals that lack diverse authorship from developing nations are listed. This phenomenon may be studied in other disciplines to further illuminate divides in the scholarly realm.

In this paper 190 contribution were analysed from “Annals of Library & Information Science” published during 2015 to 2020. The data collection was done by downloading the articles from the website of the journal. The primary objective of this study is to identify the global research output on Taliban during the period of 25 years spanning from 1996-2020. Specific objectives are to analyze the distribution of literature, publication trends, authorship patterns, institutional productivity, collaboration networks, and prolific funding agencies. DESIGN/ RESEARCH METHODOLOGY/ APPROACH: The data for the period of 2013 to 2020 was collected by downloading articles from the Journal of Library and Information Science website http://jlisnet.com. This study aims to explore the research productivity of sourced journal ‘International Journal of Jain Studies’. The data was extracted (N=59) from the website of journal by considering all types of publications during 2005-2021. The analysis was based on the scientometric indicators viz author productivity, degree of collaboration and collaboration coefficient. Objectives: This study aims to evaluate the research productivity of universities established by the British rulers during the 19th century in un-divided Indian sub-continent. Another objective of the study is to explore the collaboration patterns and to perform impact analysis on the research produced by the studied universities.

This study used the semantic similarity between citation contexts to develop one scheme for weighting direct citations, and another scheme for allocating residual citations to a publication from its nth citation generation level publication. A relationship between the new direct citation weighting scheme and each of five existing schemes was investigated while the new residual citation scheme was compared with the cascading citation scheme. This paper helps a bibliometric analysis of the authorship pattern and collaborative research in the field of Laparoscopic Surgery literature in the MEDLINE database which covered in PubMed throughout the years i.e. 2010 to 2019. The maximum number of 9118 publications was published in the year 2019. A total of 94.97% of publications are covered by multi-authors’ papers. The ratio of single and multi-authors’ contributions is 1:20 in the field of Laparoscopic Surgery.
