The purpose of this study was to discover the extent and nature of the leadership role of the elementary school principal in the development of school library programs. A review of the literature revealed general agreement that the principal should assume a leadership role in the development of the school library, and is in a strategic position to do so. Questionnaires were sent to ninety-one elementary principals in the following countries of Southeast Kansas: Allen, Bourbon, Cherokee, Crawford, Labette, Mongomery, Neosho, Wilson, and Woodson; seventy-three were returned. The central purpose of this study is to present a full edition of 82 heretofore unpublished Neo-Babylonian economic and legal texts from the John Frederick Lewis Collection of the Free Library of Philadelphia. It is hoped that the publication of these texts in autograph copy, transliteration, and translation along with selected notes relating them to published corpora will shed more light on this often neglected genre of material from the Chaldean period.

Trinity Baptist Church Library was organized in 1968 as a project of the local Women's Missionary Union. It has been under the direction of several different people, thus the library had been subjected to several different systems of management. None of the aforementioned library directors had any training in library science, so not only were their procedures diversified but they were also sometimes incorrect.
It was my task to being correcting the errors that had been made and to initiate some new programs that would be beneficial to the church library system.
