Edward Snowden, Hero Or Traitor? An Analysis Of News Media Framing, Cole N. Caster
Communication Studies
Mainstream news broadcasters such as Fox News, CNN and MSNBC are some of the most popular sources of news in the world. With such a significant responsibility, it is both important and interesting to analyze how news outlets present their stories. This project focuses on the roll of framing in news media. Specifically, how the news broadcasters Fox News, CNN and MSNBC employ the hero and traitor frame in the presentation of Edward Snowden, an ex National Security Administration contractor who leaked thousands of highly classified documents to news outlets.

John F. Kennedy's inaugural is a rhetorical masterpiece. Our world has aged forty-nine years and within those years the threats have remained the same with a few minor tweaks. Kennedy's inaugural is considered not only extremely affective but also immensely profound, because like any other great presidential inaugural is it timeless. Uniting A Nation: A Close Textual Analysis Of Barack Obama's Inaugural Address, Thomas Michael Gatta

An analysis of Barack Obama's Inaugural Address. The author aims to look into the hidden mechanisms and meanings in Obama's address. He uses Close Reading, or Close Textual Analysis to discover what Obama was trying to portray to the audience that day. On this historical occasion the author argues Obama uses a precise pattern and stylistic qualities such as metaphors to enunciate a theme of 'we' and 'us' with the audience.
