Abstract
The main aim of the study is to know the use of e-journals among the faculty members and students in engineering college libraries. The results of the study show that the students and faculty members who participated in this survey are aware of e-journals and majority of the respondents used e-journals for study and project dissertation work. Most of the faculty members and students used e-journals in libraries. The survey respondents opined that the e-journals are easy to access and use as compared to print journals. This research paper investigates the perspectives of students’ of National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) towards computer and pen-on-paper examination. Questionnaires were used to generate data. The data collected targeted students of three selected Study Centre .300 questionnaires which consist of 200-400 level of students of the three selected study Centre were administered .Response rate of 240 out of 300 representing 80% of the total questionnaires obtained for data analysis. The result showed that a significant percentage of the respondents were either doing good or fairly good academically. The students’ performances measured in each question type. A survey concerning perceptions of academic librarians was conducted at a large, 4-year university with three populations: librarians, faculty, and undergraduate students. The high response rate and the use of an instrument based on previous studies offers the possibility of longitudinal comparison and the identification of relationships between groups within one environment. Results will be presented in a series of articles, beginning with this paper’s study introduction and literature review of librarian, faculty, and student perceptions of librarians. Subsequent papers will present results from the three surveys and offer analysis across the three groups. The literature review focused on research …

The Library Ambassador Program hires approximately 25 undergraduate students each fall and provides them with two semesters of information literacy and research skills instruction before deploying them across campus to help students with their research. As part of their training, instructors use various game-playing and active learning strategies in the classroom including: a card game designed to teach players about databases and how they function, group problem-solving exercises, a card game intended to teach players how to evaluate sources of information, and a roleplaying activity meant to prepare ambassadors for experiences in helping students. OBJECTIVE Meeting departmental goals and student expectations are a challenge with evolving budgets and changing perspectives on the purpose of library space. Repurposing library space to meet student needs while maintaining appropriate collections is a challenge and an opportunity for librarians and patrons alike. At South College, institutional growth and student demand for study space, both physical space and time, highlighted a need for change within the physical confines of the library department.

The present study examines the impact of Social Networking Sites on college students of Regional Institute of Paramedical and Nursing (RIPANS), Aizawl. The study focused on the SNSs usage on academic performance, both positive and negative influence, the purpose and problem faced by the students in using SNSs. 150 well-structured questionnaires were distributed to the randomly selected students of RIPANS to find out the impact of using SNSs for their academic performance, out of which 146 students have responded. This study focused on ascertaining the challenges associated with accessing and utilizing library e-resources by Economics Education students’ in South East NigeriaThe study adopted a descriptive survey research design. Samples were drawn using a purposive sampling technique in selecting four hundred and ninety-two (492) Economics Education students’ from the study area. Data was collected using a validated 4-point Likert rated questionnaire for challenges associated with accessing and utilizing library e-resources (QCAUER) instrument with a reliability coefficient of 0.72. We shift the balance of power in this paper by discussing a particular library lesson, the Comics-Questions Curriculum, with some of the students who participated in it, several years after they completed the workshop. By interviewing students and including them as co-authors of this paper, we re-center students in our analysis of this curriculum. In the process of reflecting on our work with the students and each other, we begin to see ways to engage in more meaningful, longer-term assessment of our classroom work while involving student voices in the process. NAFSA’s economic analysis indicates that international students and their families created or supported 340,000 jobs and contributed $26.8 billion to the U.S. economy during the 2013-2014 academic year (NAFSA, 2014). The analysis for reveals that for every seven international students enrolled, three U.S. jobs are created or supported by spending. These occur in the following sectors: higher education, accommodation, dining, retail, transportation, telecommunications, and health insurance. By the 2017-2018 academic year, the US witnessed further significant contribution of international students to the US economy, contributing $39 billion from living expenses, tuition, and fees. Results of an online survey distributed to faculty, PhD students, and researchers throughout Finland in 2016 show that library resources, journal articles, and books are important parts of scholars’ research and work life. The survey was disseminated through FinELib to heads of libraries, who were then asked to distribute it to their academic staff, researchers, and PhD students. The purpose of this study was to examine the value of readings obtained from library collections.
