The aim of the present study is to explore the perception of Library and Information Science professionals in central universities about Knowledge Management and its integration into library practices.

The study is conducted through survey by using a web-based questionnaire. A well-structured both close and open ended questionnaire was administered to 75 LIS professionals who had been working in different central university libraries in North Indian States. Knowledge Sharing Among Librarians In Public Libraries Of Fars Province, Iran, Ali Biranvand, Mohamad Hassan Seif, Ali Akbar Khasseh

This study aims to investigate factors affecting knowledge sharing among librarians working in public libraries of Fars Province, Iran. The research uses a survey method. Using stratified random sampling technique, 180 librarians were selected as a sample. The data collection instrument is a questionnaire with an acceptable reliability. Data analysis was accomplished using Lisrel Full Version 8.7.

The study findings revealed that education and consultation programs improve librarians’ performance. These should be designed based on employees’ ability and type of activity. Librarians in the United States have many professional guideposts to inform their work. A patron's right to privacy is one tenet that tends to be upheld tenaciously, and is informed first by the 4th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, among other Amendments, as well as Article III of the American Library Association Code of Ethics. Section 215 of the USA PATRIOT Act, the so-called "library provision," contradicts both the 4th Amendment and Article III of the ALA Code of Ethics, making it a weak third leg of a triangle of guideposts. This study was conducted in seventeen Indian university Libraries to assess the familiarity and usage of cloud computing applications among Library and information Science professionals. The investigator collected responses from 56 number of LIS professionals working at 17 Indian University Libraries, through a structured questionnaire. Results revealed that the usage of cloud computing applications in library operation and services is not very significant.
