In 2011, the Health Sciences Library at Baystate Health began participating in the monthly meetings of the Medical Home Work Group for families with special needs children in Western MA. The Community Outreach Librarian sat at the table for a few months before offering to do social media outreach for this group. In May 2015, librarians Margot Malachowski, Anne Gancarz and John Walsh shared their experiences with doing outreach to folks who don't use the library. This presentation attracted 80 attendees at the Massachusetts Library Association Annual Meeting.
