Vaccine hesitancy is a major global health problem despite their being historically effective at preventing infectious diseases such as tetanus, diphtheria, polio, rabies, pertussis, measles, and yellow fever. It has significantly hampered herd immunity, with a rate of 67% for COVID-19 globally. Vaccine hesitancy is common in underdeveloped nations like Nigeria. Misinformation and rumors may be the foundation of the lower vaccination rates in impacted African nations, particularly Nigeria. AbstractAutism spectrum disorders (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder which causes an individual to have abnormalities in socialization and communication, and unusual behaviors and interests. Each year about a half million young adults with ASD transition from high school to adulthood; however, only 57% become employed. The current study’s purpose was to investigate how general knowledge of ASD and social interactions with those with ASD affected employers’ social attitudes and perceptions of those with ASD being employed by them. In 2017, more than 18% of the workforce in the Department of Defense (DoD) was eligible to retire. Employee retirement continues to present a persistent shortage of DoD knowledge workers, especially in security protections. Adolescents with acting-out behavior have an increased risk of dropping out of high school, incarceration, and early mortality. Researchers have indicated the need for studies using motivational interviewing (MI) to promote behavioral change. Although speech language pathologists' (SLPs) knowledge of communication and swallowing has been undisputed, their knowledge and skills related to tracheostomy and mechanical ventilation (MV) seem varied. The consequences associated with the presence of tracheostomy or MV demonstrate the necessity of training. Guided by Bandura's social cognitive theory, this study was designed to determine if SLPs' training influenced self-efficacy and real knowledge, and to evaluate trends associated with SLPs' pursuit of specialized training.
