This study was designed to investigate core values of librarianship and practice of Information Ethics by librarians in four higher institutions in Oyo State, Nigeria. Survey research design was employed to study the population size consisted of 47 librarians using total enumeration sampling technique. Questionnaire and interview for four (4) Senior Librarians at the selected institutions were the instruments used for data collection; three research questions and one null hypothesis were formulated for this study. Job satisfaction of employees plays a crucial role in determining the general productivity of workers in any organization. The general opinion was that job satisfaction and productivity of librarians in public university libraries in Nigeria were low and a cause for concern. This study investigated the relationship between job satisfaction and productivity of librarians in Nigerian public universities. A correlational survey research design was adopted. This study investigated mentoring strategies in use for professional development of librarians in federal Universities in North-Central Nigeria. Descriptive survey research design was adopted. Population of the study was 107 professional librarians. Four research questions guided the study. Instrument for data collection were: structured questionnaire and an interview schedule. Data obtained were analyzed using mean ratings. Major findings include: informal mentoring strategy is the main strategy in use for professional development of librarians in these universities, many benefits accrue from mentoring, yet there are challenges affecting it. This paper discussed librarians’ attitudes towards open source software. Questionnaires were the research instrument used. One thousand (1000) questionnaires were administered out of which nine hundred and twenty (920) were returned and used for the study which represents a return rate of ninety-two percent (92%). Responses were analysed using simple percentages and results were presented in tables and charts.

This paper aimed at x-raying the expected roles of women librarians in promoting sexuality education on within the Nigerian context. The study adopted the desk-research approach where extensive literature review was used in generating data for the study. The findings reveals that women can organize talks for women and young people in the rural areas, organize sex education seminars in collaboration with students Affairs Division in tertiary institutions, use social media platform to disseminate information relating to sexuality education among others. Abstract

Stress is evident in every workplace, irrespective of type or location. This study revealed that librarians experience stress in federal, state and private universities. However, there are variations in the levels of stress experienced by librarians from private, state and federal universities. According to the findings, there is no significance difference in the causes of stress among the various kinds of libraries studied. The causes are rather evident in physical, environmental, organizational, cultural, and managerial factors.
