A bride and groom’s first dance in the middle of stopped traffic has become a global news story covered by news outlets including CNN, ABC, Daily Mail, The Huffington Post and even a news station in Germany. Levi Curby, a 2015 Cedarville University broadcasting and digital media alumnus, and his brother, senior broadcasting and digital media major Caleb Curby, were the videographers for the wedding and captured the dance seen around the world.

Prescription Drug abuse is rampant in the United States. It’s a deadly issue that needs to be corrected, which is why Cedarville University’s School of Pharmacy opened the Medication Therapy Management LLC Call Center.
The new Center is designed to educate patients about the proper way to use, prescription drugs. The Center was formed earlier this year, but officially opened in December with 5,000 patients from coast-to-coast.

When big stories hit the airwaves, statewide media are calling upon Cedarville University professors to interject their expertise so Ohio residents better understand the issues. And, with this happening at a regular rate, it’s a wonder how the professors from Cedarville’s history and government department teach their classes.
But they do.
During the first four months of the 2016-17 academic year, Cedarville faculty, staff—and some students—participated in 399 media interviews — an increase of 105 interviews from the same time one year earlier. And, the faculty from the history and government department handled 59 percent of the media work.

Exercise Science Senior Research Projects
College students are often experience many stressors. This study was designed to look at perceived-stress and health habits with relation to academic department of undergraduate students at Cedarville University. The results of this study have implications for the Physical Activity and the Christian Life (PACL) class, offered on the Cedarville campus, in assessing its current curriculum and making potential future adjustments to the course. The objective of this study was to answer the question: “Do perceived stress levels within different academic departments affect health habits in Cedarville University undergraduate students?”

Draws And Drawbacks Of An Oxford Study Abroad Experience, Michael W. Firmin, Kailee M. Lenczycki, Ruth L. Firmin, Whitney Muhlencamp Wood, Jordan C. Wood
Psychology Faculty Publications
Using qualitative research methodology, we interviewed 23 American students participating in a study abroad program at Oxford University in the U.K. Results showed four primary draws to participating in the study abroad program and two perceived drawbacks. Positively, Oxford’s first appealing dynamic related to the tutorial system and students’ expanded range of options for specialized topics as well as in-depth study. Next, participants highly valued Oxford’s academic rigor, which accompanied the university’s unique approach to education. Third, Oxford’s location in England appealed to our participants.
