Information Communication Technology (ICT) has provided plenty of opportunities and challenges to the Librarians. This paper discusses the cost effective ICT methods that have been implemented at Sri Sarada College for Women, Tirunelveli. The case study method has been adopted to study the purpose. Sarada Library has implemented library automation with barcode facility, institutional repository, library consortia, library 2.0 tools, coordinate NPTEL courses and conducted information literacy skill development programmes. Sarada library has implemented successful cost effective ICT methods and provided technological services to the end users.

The article highlights how librarians and faculty can collaborate to prepare pre-service teaching students to select culturally appropriate juvenile books. Results show how the students’ misconceptions or poor knowledge about multiculturalism impact their decision in the selection of material. Changes in the content and delivery of information demonstrate how to improve the knowledge and application of cultural literacy skills by the students. This case study approaches the importance of the connection between textual and visual content in juvenile books, and how a collaborative approach between a faculty member and an academic librarian can improve the acquisition of lifelong learning skills.

The present study was undertaken to assess academic performances of faculty members of Mother Teresa Women’s University and its Affiliated Colleges. Simple random sampling method has been applied in order to assess the faculty members’ perception about the academic performances. Questionnaire was a data collection tool. A total of 290 questionnaires were distributed among users and 254 duly filled in questionnaires were received, thus resulting into a response rate of 87.59 per cent. Purpose: This study aims to find out the information literacy competence of professional nurses in the Ho Municipality of Ghana in their pursuit of Evidence-Based Practice (EBP).

Design/methodology/approach: This study used the descriptive research strategy to describe the experience of information literacy among professional nurses in the Ho Municipality of Ghana.
