Background:

The major aim of this study is to evaluate the research productivity of Pakistan Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences (PJPS) from 2005 to 2020. For the purpose, bibliometric analysis was performed.

Methodology:

From March to April 2021, the data was retrieved from Scopus, one of the largest databases in the world. journal. Later it was analyzed by MS Excel. Based on the Scopus database, this is the 1st bibliometric report about PJPS.

Results:

This study evaluates the research performance of King Edward Medical University, the oldest school of medical education in Pakistan. Bibliometric indicators are used to assess the research output. A comparison is made with peer universities running under the same government to know King Edward Medical University’s research standing at provincial and country level. The study observes the citation patterns of research publications. The study revealed that researchers in KEMU collaborate with local and international institutes.
