Purpose: This study aims to provide a comparative analysis on knowledge hierarchy taking into account countries such as India, China and United States of America on digital library perspective research from 2007 to 2017.

Methodology: This study covers articles published in the Web of Science database where 242 articles were taken into consideration and further analysis was done for the stipulated time period.

The concept “Information Explosion” is developed in this world. ICT (Information & Communication Technology) is playing a significant role in housekeeping activities and information retrieval in libraries. ICT consists of three terms Information, Communication & Technology. The paper highlights the use of ICT in college libraries. For collecting data, questionnaire method is adopted. The findings of the study shows that, the highest percentage of libraries (80.56%) have printer in libraries followed by photocopy machines (75%), CD/CD-ROM drive (72.22%), scanners (70.37%), and barcode scanners (54.63%). This paper examines the extent use of DSpace open source software and its adoption and users perceptions among PDPU libraries as an intuitional repository. Two separate questionnaires were used to gather data. 118 users are selected from stratified random sampling technique from total population of 400; questionnaires were shared to 118 users. The findings revealed that 94 responses were obtained.
