The SRELS Journal of Information Management has been playing vital role in the library and information science field since last fifty years. This paper presents the results of a bibliometric study of articles with a gender viewpoint from 2007-2017. The aim of the study is to examine the journal during the period 2007-2017 using bibliometric indicators with a gender perspective. The pattern of research output in 606 publications is analyzed in which 435(71.78%) articles are contributed by male authors and 171(28.21%) by female authors. Utilization Of Academic Library Resources For Research Productivity Among Lecturers In Private Universities In South-South Nigeria, Blessing Ajelomohie Ifijeh Miss, Monday Obaidjevwe Ogbomo Dr, Goodluck Ifijeh Mr

This study examined the relationship between use of library resources and research productivity of lecturers in Private Universities in South-South geopolitical zone of Nigeria. Descriptive research design was adopted for the study. A sample of 368 lecturers was selected for the study and questionnaire was the instrument used for data collection. 231 copies of the questionnaire were retrieved, representing 63% response rate. Data was analyzed using simple percentages, and mean; Pearson correlation coefficient was used for test of hypothesis.

This study showcases the escalation of research productivity of UPES (University of Petroleum and Energy Studies), Dehradun for the time span of 10 years from 2008 to 2017. In total 892 publications has been retrieved from the Scopus database. Amongst them, 54.82 % are research articles published in scholarly journals and 36.32 % in Conference proceedings. This study provides an overview of the Library and Information Science (LIS) research from 1980 through 2017. We employ bibliometric and text mining analyses on a sample of 500 most cited articles to examine the impact of factors such as number of authors, enhanced institutions, document types and keywords on the number of citations that they received. This study therefore, investigated the knowledge of electronic databases as predictors of research productivity of academic staff in private universities in South-west, Nigeria.
