The paper analyses 9909 global and 4862 Indian Himalayan R&D publications, as covered in Scopus database during 2004-13. It compares the contribution, citation impact and international collaborative publications share of top 10 most productive countries, and the place of Indiaamong them. It mainly examines Indian output, with a focus its annual average growth rate (13.21%), citation impact per paper (1.86%), distribution of citations (with 62.40% publications received one or more citations), share of international collaborative papers (16.29%) and contribution of leading collaborative countries, distribution of output by broad subject areas, publication productivity and citation impact of thirty leading institutions and …

Analyse articles in SRELS journal of information management published during the years 2004-2013 and to study the key dimensions of its publication trends. For this study 10 volumes containing 48 issues have been taken up for evaluation. Necessary bibliometric measures are applied to analyse different publication parameters. In all 499 articles are published with an average 49 articles each year. The collaborative measures are calculated as per Ajiferuke et al (0.35), Lawani (2.28) and Subramanyam (0.65). The purpose of this paper is to develop core books in Nigerian languages using citation analysis. A total of 449 theses and dissertations submitted to the Department of Linguistics and Nigerian Languages in six Nigerian universities from 1996 to 2007 constituted the population. The universities are University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), University of Ife (OAU), University of Lagos (UNILAG), University of Ibadan (UI), Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (ABU) and University of Benin (UNIBEN). This paper analyses the citation patterns of the Education & Educational research Spanish journals within the Journal Citation Report (JCR). The analysis is based on four indicators: the references’ type percentage, the mean reference per documents, the mean reference age and the journals’ citation frequency. The results show that the mean reference age is higher than eleven years. Moreover, the citation to journals represent less than the half of the total amount of references.

Author rights, peer review, open access, and the role of institutional repositories have all come under scrutiny by scholars, librarians, and legal experts in the last decade. Much of the conversation is centered on liberating information from the confinements of legal, financial, and hierarchical restraints.
