Consumers who want to save interest charges on large loans, such as a home mortgage or auto loan, usually comparison shop for the "best deal." Comparison shopping for a credit card is also an excellent practice because terms and conditions of the account can make a difference in how much consumers pay for the privilege of borrowing.
