However, open access publishing also prompts issues and concerns related to the publishing model and predatory publishing practices. Benefits of using this digital repository of scholarship include enhanced searchability and tracking of impact using alternative metrics. The session will also feature faculty member Barry Mauer, who has created a successful author profile and collection in STARS.
