The goal of this study is to learn how postgraduate students in Nigeria's university libraries perceive and use serial resources. The study used a descriptive survey as its method. 295 postgraduate library and information science students from four South-East regional institutions two state universities and two federal universities make up the research population. Survey research methodology was used with a total sample size of 202 library personnel in University of Abuja library using simple random sampling techniques. This study examines the influence of awareness tools on library electronic resources: a case study of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) employing a quantitative research approach and survey methodology, the research targeted a sample population of 1,680, including 1,513 students, 140 academic staff members, and 27 academic librarians. A combination of probability (stratified random and systematic) and nonprobability (purposive) sampling methods were applied. The study employed online self-administered closed-ended questionnaires distributed through Google Forms to participants' emails. This study investigated user perceptions and challenges associated with accessing and utilizing electronic resources at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), including their implications for remote users. Using a quantitative research approach and survey methodology, the study involved 1,680 participants: 1,513 students, 140 academic staff, and 27 academic librarians. The study adopted descriptive study to examine law libraries and sustainability of judicial precedent in Nigerian legal system. The population involved legal educators, law librarians and practitioners in four States in different geopolitical zones of Nigeria, namely Rivers State, Lagos State, Benue State, and Anambra State. Due to the large population, the study employed multi-stage of balloting and random sampling techniques to sample 100 respondents each from the selected states. Collection acquisition is continuously becoming a rigorous activity as libraries are seeking more economical path to information resources to adequately meets the needs of their users. Libraries are supporting patrons needs through demand-driven acquisition that gives them liberty to participate in library collection acquisition decision. This study investigates Malaysian academic libraries adoption of Demand-driven acquisition (DDA) model considering the mediating effect of readiness. A quantitative research approach was employed using survey questionnaire with a total of 152 responses gathered. This study demonstrates that readiness has significantly influenced DDA adoption among Malaysian academic libraries, so is awareness and socio-economic factors.

Purpose

In this study, we conducted quantitative analysis of 1706 scholarly literature published in Journal of Documentation during the period of 1970 to 2019 (fifty years) using a series of scientometric indicators. Annual scientific production, most local cited sources, the ranking of authors; profiles, contributions, correlation, collaboration and authorship pattern, most contributed countries, most cited articles, frequently used search terms/keywords, and the legend of historiographic mapping were analysed in detail to measure the impact of the source.

The aim of this study was to explore the status, collection, and challenges of community libraries in the capital of Pakistan. A purposive sampling technique was used for data collection from 12librarians/library in-charges working in these community libraries. This study found that the collection of reading materials in the community libraries was between 4000 to 7000 and offered Web-OPAC, interlibrary loan, books borrow services. These libraries have proper websites, classified books, adequate sitting arrangements, and a heating and cooling system to support the community.
