The fifth season of archaeological investigations at the Rancho de las Cabras (41 WN 30) was conducted in late May and June 1984, by the Center for Archaeological Research, The University of Texas at San Antonio, for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, Austin, Texas. This field season the limits of the midden outside the northwest gate were better defined through shovel testing, and the surficial extent of another midden outside the east compound wall was mapped.
