BOB Hydrographics, LLC (BOB) conducted a marine archaeological survey of a proposed pipeline project crossing Redfish Bay, in Nueces County. Project Consulting Services, Inc. contracted with BOB for this project, on behalf of the project sponsor, Axis Midstream Holdings, LLC. The survey spans portions of State Mineral Lease Tracts 321, 324, 325, 326, 327, and 328 between the community of Aransas Pass and Harbor Island. The Area of Potential Effect (APE) encompasses 203 acres. BOB Hydrographics, LLC conducted a marine archaeological assessment for portions of the Bluewater SPM Project proposed in Nueces and Aransas counties and adjoining federal waters. These archaeological investigations were sponsored by Lloyd Engineering, Inc. on behalf of Bluewater Texas Terminal, LLC. The marine portion of this project comprises two segments: Offshore and Inshore. Perennial Environmental Services, LLC (Perennial), on behalf of the City of Port Aransas (City), conducted an intensive Phase I cultural resources survey for the Charlie’s Pasture Marina Project (Project) located on Mustang Island in Nueces County, Texas approximately 1.0-mile (mi) (1.6 kilometer [km]) west of Port Aransas. Within the Project, the City plans to construct an approximately 16-acre (6.5-hectare [ha]) marina, which would include the excavation of an approximate 170.0-foot- (ft-) (51.8-meter- [m-]) wide channel entrance that would extend approximately 650.0 ft (198.0 m) from the shore into the Corpus Christi Channel. In April 2017, archaeologists from Coastal Environments, Inc. (CEI) conducted intensive archaeological survey with shovel testing in accordance with Council of Texas Archeologists (CTA) and Texas Historical Commission (THC) guidelines on approximately 131 acres of land at I.B. Magee Park for the Nueces County Coastal Parks System in advance of proposed improvements to the park. The park is located along the shoreline in Port Aransas, Texas at the northern end of Mustang Island, immediately south of the University of Texas Marine Science Institute and the Corpus Christi Ship Channel, also known as Aransas Pass.

Coastal Environments Inc. (CEI) conducted a cultural resources remote-sensing survey of two areas adjacent to Shamrock Island, Nueces County, Texas. The northern-most of these covers 56.38 hectares (139.31 acres), while the southern-most survey area encompasses 44.8 hectares (110.69 acres). These are proposed locations of sand borrow areas to be used by the Nature Conservancy, Texas Coast Office for the Shamrock Island Restoration Project. Data were collected by Naismith Marine of Houston, Texas on December 15th and 17th, 2014 and supervised by the principal investigator and the remotesensing specialist from CEI. This report is the second volume in a two volume set (see Jackson et al. 2004) detailing the archeological work conducted at site 41NU2 over several years. This volume focuses on the results of construction monitoring associated with road improvements to Spur 3, in Corpus Christi. The work was conducted under Texas Antiquities Committee Permit Number 2445, originally issued to Dr. Robert Hard, who served as the Principal Investigator during the early phases of the project. In 2001, the permit was transferred to Dr. Raymond P. Mauldin, who served as the Principal Investigator the remainder of the project.

During December 1983, the Center for Archaeological Research, The University of Texas at San Antonio, conducted an archaeological survey of a proposed dredge spoil site in Nueces County for the Port of Corpus Christi Authority. One site (41 NU 211) was located. Artifacts included one Early Archaic dart point fragment which suggests that 41 NU 211 may date as earl y as 4000 B.C. Limited testing is recommended to evaluate the site unless project plans are altered.

On March 2 and 3, 1977, an archaeological survey of the area surrounding Tule Lake, in Corpus Christi, Texas, was conducted by the Center for Archaeological Research, The University of Texas at San Antonio. The reconnaissance was authorized by the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District, prior to disposal of fill resulting from harbor dredging activities.
