The writers describe their experience of a flight aboard NASA's C9 so-called Weightless Wonder aircraft. To celebrate the 2005 World Year of Physics, NASA, the American Association of Physics Teachers, and the American Physical Society co-sponsored a contest to select teams of high school students and their mentors to fly an experiment aboard the aircraft, which simulates microgravity by conducting a series of parabolic maneuvers.
