Journal of System Simulation

Abstract: Traffic flow prediction is an important component of urban intelligent transportation system. With the development of machine learning and artificial intelligence, deep learning has been applied in traffic engineering area. Gated recurrent unit (GRU) neural network is selected to predict urban traffic flow. Cross-validation method is used to explore the optimal number of gated recurrent units. The GRU model is compared with other three predictors such as support vector regression and evaluated in different performance measurements. The results show that GRU model has better performance in traffic flow prediction than the other three models.

Group Consensus Of Multi-Agent Networks With Multiple Time Delays, Lianghao Ji, Xinyue Zhao

Journal of System Simulation

Abstract: The group consensus problems for first-order and second-order multi-agent networks with multiple time delays are investigated respectively. Based on the theory of frequency-domain, some algebraic criteria are analytically proposed, which can guarantee the achievement of group consensus. The results show that the input time delays, the coupling weights and the coupling strengths between the agents play key roles in reaching group consensus, whereas communication time delays can only affect the convergence rate of the systems. The validity of the results is verified by several simulated examples.

Journal of System Simulation

Abstract: To overcome the shortage of losing partial important information of hard-threshold method with EEG signal de-noising process, a novel de-noising method based on the combination of measuring of medium truth degree (MMTD) and EEG is proposed. By decomposing noisy signals of wavelet transform, handling threshold of high-frequency wavelet coefficients in every layer, and reconstructing post-processing of the wavelet coefficients, the purpose of noise elimination can be guaranteed. Under different noise intensity, the experimental results show that the MAWH (MMTD and wavelet hard-threshold) method has perspective of lower RMSE and higher SNR compared to hard-threshold and soft-threshold.

Journal of System Simulation

Abstract: A method of scenario computing is developed for modeling systems with deep uncertainty. The method consists three complementary parts: hybrid modelling, diverse computing, and interactive validation. Hybrid modelling is to dynamically develop models with merging historical knowledges and observed information. Diversity computation is to simulate multiple plausible scenarios about system future. Interactive validation helps scenario computing process being on the right way instead of deviating. Two cases are provided in this paper applying scenario computing, one is earthquake and the other is driving and transportation. The results show good performance of scenario computing method in modeling uncertainty systems.
