Prevention and Wellness Services of Western Washington University houses the Performance Education troupe, “Will Act for Change,” under its’ peer health education program. The Lifestyle Advisor Program. The mission of Prevention and Wellness Services is to improve the health of students in the broadest sense—to reduce individual risk for illness and injury and to work toward the presence of well-being, dignity, and justice which may lead to the genuine health of the whole community.

This article complements the substantial body of literature produced over the last three decades on the export of hazards from developed countries to developing countries. After reviewing the central arguments proposed by this literature, the authors add to the debate by focusing on the role of national actors in the importation of these hazards, based on the experience of late 1970s’ developments in the petrochemical industry in Brazil. Lds Life Tables: A Comparison Of Long-Lived Populations, Christopher R. Layton

This research estimates the life expectancy of members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) in Utah. We create gender-specific life tables for four groups: total Utah, active LDS, less-active LDS, and non-LDS. Male life tables are based on data from 1991-1995; female life tables are based on data from 1994-1998. Life expectancy at birth is 75 years for all utah males, 79.8 years for active LDS Utah males, 71.6 years for less active LDS Utah males, and 71.5 years for non-LDS Utah males.
