Skin cancer is a global health concern due to its growing incidence and high mortality rate. The most common therapeutic modalities in skin cancer include surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy. However, those therapies do not specifically target cancer cells and may damage healthy tissues. Cancer induces immune response by releasing soluble antigens and danger signals caused by tumor cellular stress or death, while the immune system continuously monitor and control malignant proliferation through cancer immunoediting. This study sought to assess the benefits of different learning activities associated with student engagement and performance on subsequent examinations regarding the integumentary system. For this study, three different hands-on laboratory activities (i.e., treatments) were given during different laboratory sessions. These hands-on activities included labeling a three-dimensional model, illustrating a model, or building a model of the integumentary system using materials provided. Background: Nevus sebaceous (NS) is a common hamartoma of the cutaneous adnexal structure, clinically appear as a well demarcated yellow-orange plaque, sometimes with verrucous surface. Dermoscopy may aid the diagnosis of NS and also guide carbon dioxide (CO2) laser therapy.

Case Illustration: Two cases of brown and yellowish plaque on the face, with clinical appearance, dermoscopic, and histopathological findings consistent with NS. The patients consented to undergo serial CO­2laser destruction, aimed to reduce recurrences and shorten the duration of the downtime. A hospital's policy regarding infant bathing is currently not congruent with best nursing practice. The hospital’s current policy is to bathe an infant once they are stable and their rectal temperature is at or above 98.6 °F. Although the infant may become stable within the first 24-hours of birth, the World Health Organization recommends that, “Bathing should be delayed until 24 hours after birth.” (2013, p. 4). Research has been completed to support delaying infant bathing until 24 hours post-delivery, suggesting potential modifications to current policy.
