Our survey was carried out at the level of 17 Municipalities of the Province of Skikda. Questionnaire sheets were distributed to 55 herbalists and 350 locale population (informants). The processing of survey data with the local population shows us that women (52 %) have more knowledge of phytotherapy compared to men (48 %) with a fairly high level of education. For the herbalists, we found that most are men (85.45 %) aged between 31-40 years (29.09 %) and 41-50 years (25.45 %), and with level of university study (36.36 %). With a longitudinal (2020–2021) completion, a set of 300 urine samples of individuals suspected of UTI was characterized based on the biochemical analysis and Kirby Bauer's disc diffusion method. Throughout, a total of 167 samples revealed UTI positivity by obtaining bacterial growth. Reporting that E. coli (69.4 %) was the most dominant when compared with Klebsiella (14.3 %), Proteus (5.9 %), S. aureus (4.7 %), P. aeruginosa (3.5 %), and Enterobacter (1.7 %), respectively. Current study was intended to investigate the cytotoxic potential of Bombax ceiba L.by executing a wide range of in vitro assays. Brine shrimp lethality assay showed that stem wood’s chloroform (CH) extract was highly toxic (LC₅₀ 42.41 ± 3.40 µg/ml) followed by acetone : ethyl acetate (AC:EA) extract with LC₅₀ value of 72.92 ± 4.41 µg/ml. n-Hexane (NH) extract of root wood part caused 70.95 ± 1.77% inhibition of THP-1 cell line at 20 μg/ml concentration (IC₅₀ 15 ± 0.56 µg/ml).
