While generally higher for minoritized populations, prevalence rates manifest in surprising, nonlinear patterns. Problem Adolescents are at risk for experiencing intimate partner violence (IPV). As early as seventh grade, over half of adolescents have reported being in a romantic relationship. Adolescent screening for and education of IPV is minimal, and only the Healthy Relationships Quiz developed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services [HHS] screens young adolescents across all aspects of IPV, including psychological and sexual violence. Through interviews, their narratives expressed their values, actions, inactions, successes, failures, needs, obstacles, and feelings.
