Account book records the stock of lobsters and salt fish, including mackerel, herring, cod, pollock and haddock, sold by pound and price at Boon Island (Me.). Buyers mentioned includes S. Eldredge Company, S. Frisbee Company, Herbert Philbrick, and H.A. Clark, 1892-1904. Book also includes Account of expenses, including groceries, supplies and bait, for journeys made along the coast by the sloop boat Olympia out of Kittery Point (Me.), 1905-1906. Inscription on first page reads “Charles S. Williams, Boon Island Light Station, Maine, Dec. 21, 1900.” [Note: Oversized document necessitated scanning some pages in two parts.]

The ship was likely one of the vessels managed by William Witherle and Company [formerly Hook and Witherle, 1806-1808, and Witherle and Jarvis, 1810-1844; later known as Witherle and Company, 1855-1875], a general store in Castine, Me. that supplied local fishermen and residents.
