Practical And Theoretical Analysis Of The New Device While Preparing Cotton For Processing, M.T. Khadjiev, E.E. Gaibnazarov, Sh.Sh. Isaev

Bulletin of Gulistan State University

The article considers the cleaning efficiency of the machine in cleaning equipment from fine and large impurities of cotton seeds, the main processes in the selection of technological parameters. The main essence of the process is determined by the theoretical characteristics of reducing the strength of the bond between the waste particle and the fiber and separating it from the mass of raw materials under the influence of dynamic force.

A Feasibility Study Of Industrial Hemp On Virginia Commercial Poultry Production, Aaron Sloss May 2019

A Feasibility Study Of Industrial Hemp On Virginia Commercial Poultry Production, Aaron Sloss

Senior Honors Projects, 2010-2019

This project sought to characterize industrial hemp as a potential competitive agricultural commodity for the state of Virginia. Specifically, industrial hempseed was evaluated as a feedstock for the commercial broiler (meat-chickens) industry in Virginia.

Data were gathered to identify both the advantages and disadvantages of industrial hempseed as a nutritional resource for broilers. Key nutritional compositions were identified, quantified, and compared to several common feed ingredients, such as soybean, wheat, corn, and sorghum. Hempseed (whole seed) was found to have a considerably high amino acid content, protein, fiber, and metabolizable energy – making it an attractive alternative to conventional feedstuffs. …

Hemp is a non-psychoactive variety of cannabis sativa L. The crop is one of historical importance in the U.S. and reemerging in worldwide importance as manufacturers seek hemp as a renewable and sustainable resource for a wide variety of consumer and industrial products. The crop produces a valuable oilseed and oilseed meal. The fiber has high tensile strength and can be used to create cloth, rope, building materials, and even a form of plastic. For twenty years, U.S. manufacturers have been importing hemp from China, Eastern Europe, and Canada. Today, industrial hemp is re-emerging as a locally grown product …

Hemp Cannabidiol Plant Spacing X Planting Date Trial, Heather Darby, Rory Malone, John Bruce, Ivy Krezinski, Sara Ziegler Jan 2019

Hemp Cannabidiol Plant Spacing X Planting Date Trial, Heather Darby, Rory Malone, John Bruce, Ivy Krezinski, Sara Ziegler

Northwest Crops & Soils Program

Hemp is a non-psychoactive variety of cannabis sativa L. Hemp is a crop of historical importance in the U.S. and re-emerging worldwide as a popular crop as it is sought out as a renewable and sustainable resource for a wide variety of consumer and industrial products. Hemp that is grown for fiber, grain oil, or as an intended health supplement contains less than 0.3% tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). When hemp is grown to produce cannabidiol (CBD) as an intended health supplement, CBD concentrations are relatively high, with concentrations ranging between 8-15%. Hemp for CBD production is grown more intensively, similar to vegetable …

Hemp Flower Fungicide Evaluation Trial, Heather Darby, John Bruce, Scott Lewins, Lindsey Ruhl

Northwest Crops & Soils Program

Hemp is a non-psychoactive variety of Cannabis sativa L. The crop is one of historical importance in the U.S. and re-emerging worldwide importance as medical providers and manufacturers seek hemp as a renewable and sustainable resource for a wide variety of consumer and industrial products. Hemp grown for all types of end-use (health supplement, fiber, and seed) contains less than 0.3% tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Hemp varieties intended to produce a health supplement contain relatively high concentrations of a compound called cannabidiol (CBD), potentially 10-15%. CBD has purported benefits such as relief from inflammation, pain, anxiety, seizures, spasms, and other conditions. …

Northwest Crops & Soils Program

Hemp is a non-psychoactive variety of cannabis sativa L. The crop is one of historical importance in the U.S. and reemerging in worldwide importance as manufacturers seek hemp as a renewable and sustainable resource for a wide variety of consumer and industrial products. The crop produces a valuable oilseed, rich in Omega-3, and other essential fatty acids that are often absent in western diets. When the oil is extracted from the seed, what remains is a marketable meal co-product, which is used for human and animal consumption. The fiber has high tensile strength and can be used to create …
