SDSU Extension Circulars
This section of the Local Leader’s Guide is to help you assist the club in planning its work for the year. A written program for the year helps you to have well-rounded, worthwhile club meetings and encourages club members to assume responsibility for their contribution to each meeting. Necessary changes can be made as the year progresses, The program is most satisfying when it is planned cooperatively by the members with the guidance of the club leader. If the club is large, a committee of girls can be chosen to assist with the planning.

SDSU Extension Circulars
The 4-H Meal Planning C Plan has to do with planning and preparing breakfasts. Do you want to have sparkling eyes, shinning hair and a pleasant disposition? Eating a good breakfast every morning will give you these. Dr. Lydia Roberts, a well known food specialist, says, ''From many standpoints, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Your body has been without food for 10 to 12 hours and should be supplied with the different kinds of food needed for the morning's activities. If you do not have enough to eat, or the right kind of breakfast, you show …

Home Life Project “B” Plan: Bedroom or Child’s Room. Would you like to fix over your room, actually doing some of those things that you've always dreamed? Fixing over your room can be fun and will give you the opportunity to use your imagination and express your own ideas. Your bedroom used for sleeping and dressing, study or reading should be arranged for ease and comfort. A room simply furnished may be made much more attractive than one cluttered up with unnecessary pieces of furniture that have neither use nor beauty.

There is no better way of cutting food costs than to raise food in your own garden. It can't be denied that vegetables are fresh when they are picked right from the garden. Quality and food value of purchased vegetables are lost by delay in getting them to the consumer. Gardening is fun. It provides a useful form of recreation for the entire family.

Thinking Of Others At Christmas, Anna M. Wilson
SDSU Extension Circulars
A true gift is a joy to give and a pleasure to receive. Such a gift doesn't just happen, it grows. It takes thought and planning. Then it takes some doing. Gifts made at home will not stretch the purse strings too far, and they can be hand-tailored to the friend. The best gift may not be wrapped in tissue and ribbon-it might be an invitation to a Christmas tea party. Thinking of others will make Christmas the most joyous season of the year-as it should be.
