The main purpose of this report is to present the geologic evidences of the existence of petroleum in the rocks along the foothills that form the western border of the San Joaquin Valley, Cal., between the Coalinga' oil district and Livermore Pass and to discuss the chances of finding oil in commercial quantity in this region.
