On October 15, 2010—exactly fifty-nine years to the day after the opening of the original nursing home operation in 1951 which formed the core business asset of the closely held Springside Nursing Home, Inc. corporation—the Western New England University School of Law and School of Business jointly hosted their 2010 Academic Conference on “Fiduciary Duties in the Closely Held Business 35 Years after Wilkes v.
