In this Article, the author considers the judgment delivered April 16, 2002, by the European Court of Human Rights in the case of Colas Est SA v. France. The judgment concerned the interpretation of Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR), which provides: (1) Everyone has the right to respect for his private and family life, his home and his correspondence.
