The fracture usually involves the femoral neck or the intertrochanteric region. All images were processed using modern image processing techniques. The optical techniques used were shadowgraph, Schlieren, and chemiluminescence. Approximately a third of the population worldwide is chronically infected by the parasite Toxoplasma gondii. During chronic infection the parasite resides within tissue cysts as the poorly understood bradyzoite form. Observation of these bradyzoites via microscopic imaging within tissue cyst purified from infected mouse brains has shown metabolic activity with heterogeneous replication potential. With fluorescence microscopy imaging targeting the parasite’s actively respiring mitochondria, the parasite’s metabolic state can be further investigated as the morphology of mitochondria can be associated with specific physiologic states. This paper presents a novel hybrid filter along with a universal extension to remove salt and pepper noise even at a very high noise density. The proposed filter initially specifies a threshold and then denoises the image using a combination of linear, nonlinear, and probabilistic techniques. Furthermore, to improve the quality, a universal add-on is presented which uses edge detection and smoothening techniques to brush out fine details from the restored image. In this study, the burr and slot widths formed after the micro‐milling process of Inconel 718 alloy were investigated using a rapid and accurate image processing method. The measurements were obtained using a user‐defined subroutine for image processing. To determine the accuracy of the developed imaging process technique, the automated measurement results were compared against results measured using a manual measurement method. For the cutting experiments, Inconel 718 alloy was machined using several cutting tools with different geometry, such as the helix angle, axial rake angle, and number of cutting edges. The removal of atmospheric turbulence (AT) distortion in long range imaging is one of the most challenging areas of research in imaging processing with an immediate need for solutions in several applications such as in military and transportation systems. AT exacerbates distortion due to non-linear geometric blur and scintillations in long-distance images and videos, severely reducing image quality and information interpretation. To solve this problem, A multi-camera system was developed which can be scaled to broadcast an arbitrarily large writing surface while removing objects not related to the whiteboard content.
