In the brain, neurons (brain cells) produce electrical impulses, or spikes, that are thought to be the substrate of information processing and computation. Through enigmatic processes, these spikes are ultimately decoded into perceptions and actions. The nature of this encoding and decoding is one of the most pervasive questions in theoretical neuroscience. In other words, what are the specific functions enacted by neural circuits, through their biophysics and dynamics? Abstract: In order to solve the high temperature problem caused by the high speed of the synergistic aspirating engine, this paper designs a control algorithm for the heat exchanger. In the process of designing the control algorithm, considering the strong nonlinearity, uncertainty and strong coupling of the engine, The decoupling study of the multi-input and multi-output linear model of the heat exchanger is carried out. The decoupling effect of two different decoupling methods on the strongly coupled heat exchanger is obtained. The fuzzy decoupling PID controller has short adjustment time and overshoot. Small, conclusions with better decoupling effects.

This thesis is concerned with electronic stability of an all-wheel drive electric vehicle with independent motors mounted in each wheel. The additional controllability and speed permitted using independent motors can be exploited to improve the handling and stability of electric vehicles. In this thesis, these improvements arise from employing a direct yaw moment control (DYC) system that seeks to adapt the understeer gradient of the vehicle and achieve neutral steer by employing a supervisory controller and simultaneously tracking an ideal yaw rate and ideal sideslip angle. The state-of-art model-free reinforcement learning algorithms can generate admissible controls for complicated systems with no prior knowledge of the system dynamics, so long as sufficient (oftentimes millions) of samples are available from the environ- ment. On the other hand, model-based reinforcement learning approaches seek to leverage known optimal or robust control to reinforcement learning tasks by mod- elling the system dynamics and applying well established control algorithms to the system model. This article deals with the problems of developing an automatic control system for track relays in the relay room of the railway stations of the Joint Stock Company “Uzbekistan Temir Yo’llari”. The statistical data of failures that occurred at the railway stations of the Joint Stock Company “Uzbekistan Temir Yo’llari” are given. A functional diagram of a local module for inputting analog signals from Signaling, Centralization, Interlocking and data transmission systems on a personal computer using a microcontroller via an Ethernet channel has been developed.

The Utah State University Propulsion Research Laboratory (USUPRL) has recently made significant developments in the area of hybrid rocket systems. This type of propulsion system incorporates a solid fuel and a gas or liquid oxidizer. Hybrid rocket systems are known for their inherent safety, reliability, and restart capability. Over the last several years, the USUPRL has successfully built and tested a hybrid rocket system comprising acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) plastic and gaseous oxygen (GOX). The ROV Controller project makes the process of designing an ROV simpler and more affordable by providing a multi-purpose programmable controller.

Supernumerary robotic limbs (SRLs) can be used to provide a person with extra arms to help with difficult tasks. For example, a task that normally requires three hands to complete could be accomplished by just one person with an SRL. Interfacial bonding between fibre and matrix is most critical to obtain enhanced mechanical properties of the resulting composites. Here we present a new surface tailoring method of selective wet etching and organosilicon monomers (3-(Trimethoxysilyl) propyl methacrylate, TMSPMA) deposition process on the short S-Glass fibre as a reinforcing material, resulting in increased mechanical retention and strong chemical bonding between glass fibres and polymer resin (a mixture of triethylene glycol dimethacrylate (TEGDMA) and urethane dimethacrylate (UDMA) monomers). In this study, long-term performance of a persulfate (PS)-assisted direct contact membrane distillation (DCMD) process was examined for the treatment of secondary treated effluent spiked with a mixture of micropollutants including three pesticides and nine pharmaceuticals. A stand-alone DCMD ('control') was also operated under identical operating conditions for comparison. Depending on the micropollutant, the stand-alone DCMD achieved 86 to >99% removal. In comparison, removal by the PS-assisted DCMD was >99% for all investigated micropollutants. This was attributed to the fact that sulfate radicals (SO4-) formed following the activation of PS at the DCMD operating temperature (i.e., 40 °C) achieved micropollutant-specific …

Agent-based secondary voltage regulation in an islanded MicroGrid is complicated by non-linear system dynamics, state couplings and uncertain communication network topology information. This paper proposes an off-policy learning algorithm for cooperative secondary voltage control which can synthesize an optimal feedback controller in real-time without knowledge of the system model. A simulation model has been developed using MATLAB/Simulink, which demonstrates a working controller. Results from the simulations are included, and practical considerations regarding implementation on a real system discussed.
