"The primary purpose of this investigation is to provide basic data needed in determining the size distribution of water-droplets in cloud chambers, sprays, dust clouds, etc. A critique of the classical Mie scattering theory is made to evaluate the influence of the properties such as size, shape and refractive index and of the particulate concentration on the scattering functions. Using He-Ne gas laser radiation of 6328 Å wavelength as the source, the angular intensity functions are tabulated for water-drops up to 20 microns in diameter, dispersed in air at 25ºC.
