Australian Education Review
AER 59 reviews research into aspects of mathematics teaching, focusing on issues relevant to Australian mathematics teachers, to those who support them, and also to those who make policy decisions about mathematics teaching. It was motivated by and draws on the proceedings of the well-attended and highly successful ACER Research Conference Teaching mathematics? Imsa Promise: Providing Opportunities For Mathematics And Science Enrichment, Illinois Mathematics And Science Academy
Promise Programs
PROMISE – Leading Students 2 Success (LS2S) is a cross-age cooperative learning program for 7th and 8th graders designed to expose students to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) -related experiences and introduce them to inquiry/problem-based learning. Through a process of collaboration, discussion and analytical exploration of mathematical and scientific concepts, LS2S assists students in enhancing their academic and interpersonal endeavors.
