The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a significant difference in the self concept of Career Level II and III teachers and teachers who are eligible to apply but have not elected to participate in the Career Ladder Program in the public schools of Tennessee. The technique of causal-comparative research was used in this study. The Tennessee Self Concept Scale (TSCS), developed by William Fitts, was selected as the appropriate instrument for use in this study. The purpose of this study was to investigate the attitudes of teachers toward special education students and toward integrating them into regular classrooms.

The subjects involved were 269 teachers from an upstate New York suburban school district. Of those 269 subjects, 247 were regular education teachers and 22 were special education teachers. They were from nine different schools within the district (5 elementary, 2 middle schools, and 2 high schools).

The purpose of this study was to investigate the experience and attitudes of the regular and special education teachers who are participating in a program which utilizes the consultant teacher model to support the inclusion of children with handicapping conditions.

The subjects were the teachers from grades one through eight who are taking part in the integrated special education program of a rural district. Thirty-eight regular and special education teachers completed a questionnaire about their professional preparation and their experiences with the integrated program.
