The rise of student disengagement and overall student apathy towards their education is a serious problem that continues to plague the ELA classroom. When teachers enter their classrooms they are presented with students who lack the drive and desire to continue their education. It is no surprise that these students are more likely to fall behind and make less productive gains than their more motivated peers.
