The study aims to examine and explore the intersectionality of gender and English language teacher identity in Ukraine. During the Soviet Union times, gender and sex-related discussions were banned, per the Communist Party belief that those topics were distracting for the people and did not lead them to politically correct thinking. Therefore, the construct of gender in Ukraine is politically and socially silenced due to the country’s historical background as a part of the Soviet Union.
