SMU Press Releases

Over the past three years, there has been much anticipation not just among my colleagues, our students and our alumni, but also among our partners in the business and legal fraternity, and we are most delighted and excited to have moved into this new premise. This state-of-the-art facility will be a space and platform for us to deepen our engagement with all our stakeholders. Here, the SMU School of Law will continue to pursue a holistic, broad-based approach towards nurturing legal minds. In fact, this has become a distinguishing feature of our law school.

Opening Remarks By Mr Ho Kwon Ping, Smu Chairman, At The Launch Of The Smu School Of Law Building, 15 March 2017, Kwon Ping Ho, Singapore Management University

SMU Press Releases

First, the opening of the SMU School of Law Building also commemorates the 10th anniversary of the School’s establishment in 2007. Second, with this building SMU is returning to its roots – this site was where the original SMU was to have been built, and for which the old National Library was demolished some 15 years ago. And third, being now adjacent to Fort Canning Park creates new impetus for SMU’s 10,000-plus students to engage more meaningfully with this historic location, and to give it more life and vibrancy than hitherto.

Rp97-75 Fixed And Flexible Cash Rental Arrangements For Your Farm, Larry N. Langemeier

Historical Materials from University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension

The kind of rental arrangements for cropland vary widely in each locality and from one geographic area to another. What is desirable for one particular landlord/tenant relationship is not acceptable for others. The purpose of this publication is to help tenants and landlords develop fair cash-rent arrangements and assist them in making sound decisions based on a fair evaluation of resources. The first section addresses whether a fixed cash-rent lease arrangement should be used. Part II discusses how to develop a fair fixed cash rental rate, while Part III provides information on setting rent for other cropland, pasture, and ...

G94-1217 Rodent-Proof Construction: Drains And Feeding Equipment (Revised November 2003), Scott E. Hygnstrom, Dallas R. Virchow, Dennis M. Ferraro, Richard R. Stowell

Historical Materials from University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension

Techniques are described in this NebGuide for excluding rodents from drains, pipes, feed bunks, bins, and storage containers.

Rodents often travel along pipes, electrical cables, conduits, drains, and other equipment to gain access to buildings used for housing livestock and storing feed. Rodent-proof materials should be installed to prevent access to buildings along these routes. Additional methods to consider in an integrated pest management (IPM) program include sanitation, toxicants, and trapping.

G92-1080 Farmstead Safety Evaluation Guide, Gerald R. Bodman Jan 1992

G92-1080 Farmstead Safety Evaluation Guide, Gerald R. Bodman

Historical Materials from University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension

Safe working conditions for personnel and safe, healthful living conditions for animals are critical requirements in the design of all farmsteads.

All farmsteads periodically should be evaluated for potential hazards and conditions that could lead to injury, death, or premature building failure or loss. Some hazards develop with time and are easily overlooked. Others are the result of poor planning or just being "too busy." To assess the safety of your farmstead and buildings, answer the following questions. Any question that cannot be answered with a firm "yes" indicates a need for corrective action.
