This study aimed to examine the impact of self-learning table strategy K.W.L.H. On the achievement of the sixth grade students in chapter "Regular Fractions and Decimal Fractions" and their attitudes towards school mathematics.

The study has been conducted in the first semester (1438/1439AH), at King Khalid Bin Abdul-Aziz Primary School, in Arar, Saudi Arabia.

A quasi-experimental design has been used. In addition a (pre & post) achievement test (20 Questions) and (pre & post) attitude scale towards school mathematics (24 Item) were applied on two groups: one was control (27 Students) and the other experimental (26 Students).

Recent empirical research studies indicate that reflective self-assessment as a classroom approach can have a positive impact on student achievement. Reflective self-assessment, a form of metacognition, allows a student to think about past, current, and future learning performance. Although several discrete empirical studies have supported such hypotheses, a quantified exploration and summary of the relationship between classroom techniques of reflective self-assessment and student academic achievement is needed. Preparing students for higher education is a primary aim of K-12 education. However, some high school graduates do not meet college readiness benchmarks and must take remedial noncredit courses in college (Adams, 2013; Butrymowicz, 2017). Researchers acknowledge that students’ learning and achievement requires both effective cognition and the motivation to apply it. In addition, both cognition and motivation are multidimensional, each involving different processes that may be less or more salient in different contexts. However, most basic research and intervention studies focus on either cognition OR motivation, and commonly only target a single process. We designed an intervention to investigate the role of different combinations of cognitive and motivational supports in first-year undergraduate introductory biology courses. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship among selected school funding variables, percentage of low socioeconomic status students, and student achievement. Funding variables included percentage of funds a school district received from the three primary sources: local, state, and federal. Additional funding variables included per pupil expenditures, as well as teacher salaries and administrative salaries.
