This study aims to provide a comparative look at Turkish and American high school graduates’ academic achievement at college by using High School grade point average (HSGPA), Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), American College Testing Assessment (ACT), and Student Selection Examination (OSS). In the 2007/2008 academic year, five faculty in the Department of Communication Media at Fitchburg State College came together to seek ways to be proactive in addressing the challenges imposed by outcomes assessment.
