The research question addressed in this project was, how can an oral language strategy guide be created to support ELs language development in the elementary math classroom that uses ST Math. The capstone outlines strategies that can be paired with online content from ST Math to help ELs and native speakers develop oral language around the math puzzles presented in the standards based curriculum. The research question addressed in this project was: How will regular movement opportunities impact student engagement in a kindergarten classroom? This capstone begins with the personal experiences and influences of the author that led her to this question. Research on the connection between the brain, movement, and development is explained. Programs and countries that integrate frequent movement opportunities into their school schedules are examined in chapter two. The research question addressed in this project was, what impact does movement have on student learning and engagement? It focused on the teaching strategies used by one teacher in a low income school setting. Students were enrolled in a court ordered treatment program with minimal opportunities for movement throughout the day. Primary and secondary analyses of various mediums including surveys, formative assessments, warm¬up questions, as well as behavior logs were collected and analyzed. Yoga Intervention: A Yoga-Based Curriculum To Develop Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, And Resilience In Adolescents, Amanda Sati

The research question addressed in this project was: How can high schools use yoga to foster social and emotional learning in students of all backgrounds? The author uses her personal teaching experiences to develop social and emotional learning (SEL) standards for public high schools in Minnesota. She then creates a yoga-based curriculum that meets those standards. The curriculum includes four units: 1) SelfAwareness, 2) Self-Management, 3) Social Awareness, and 4) Social Management.
