嶺南大學文獻目錄 : 廣州嶺南大學歷史檔案資料, Sui Ming Lee Jan 2000

嶺南大學文獻目錄 : 廣州嶺南大學歷史檔案資料, Sui Ming Lee

Historical Texts of Lingnan University

Decision science can be an effective tool for enhancing organizational participation during strategic and complex decision making. This involvement develops a group consensus for relating organizational goals and the methods to achieve them. Based on the ability of QFD to establish relationships, the model identifies the most important topics and quantifies their impact on meeting program goals. The model was developed to support restructuring of a Masters of Engineering Management degree program. The model supported decisions in selecting and prioritizing the required …

Data were collected using the Compressed Video Student Perception of Interaction Scale and the Compressed Video Course Student Satisfaction Scale. The nine correlations used to answer the nine research questions resulted in a considerable number of significant correlations. The data generally indicated that …

The Administrative Role: A Reflective Essay, Donald R. Taylor Jan 2000

The Administrative Role: A Reflective Essay, Donald R. Taylor

Graduate Research Papers

Like everyone, my experiences, values, and goals are the basis of what has become my philosophy of education. My philosophy of education, in turn, determines my teaching style and together they define what I believe to be the purpose of education. Knowing that philosophies tend toward the idealistic by nature, my idealistic vision is not intimidated by the challenge of administration. The purpose of this reflective paper is to identify characteristics that are essential for a successful principalship. I will also articulate what I believe about each characteristic, provide research findings to support my perspective, and discuss how I might …

Portfolios As A Qualitative Writing Assessment Technique In A First Grade Classroom, Nancy F. Miller Jan 2000

Portfolios As A Qualitative Writing Assessment Technique In A First Grade Classroom, Nancy F. Miller

Graduate Research Papers

Writing is a process. To assess involvement in a process, it needs to be described. Therefore, qualitative assessment needs to be applied. Portfolios, supported by other descriptive techniques, can be used not only to assess children's writing progress and instructional needs but to connect instruction and assessment. A collection of writing exhibits in a portfolio collected over time can show children, their teachers, and their caregivers progress and can assist them in setting goals for language activity and instruction in the future. Use of qualitative assessment rubrics, surveys, and parental involvement in the process of self-assessing are techniques from which …

Critical Thinking: Integration Into The Middle School Literature Classroom, Julia Denise Mook Jan 2000

Critical Thinking: Integration Into The Middle School Literature Classroom, Julia Denise Mook

Theses Digitization Project

The pendulum of educators' interests often swings back and forth. In the current climate of high stakes assessment, there appears to be a greater emphasis placed on literal recall of information when reading. While in the short term, this may benefit score reports, there is a concern that higher order thinking skills, such as analysis, will fall by the wayside. In so doing, there may be long term effects on the citizenry of this country. A lack of shared experiences, paired with little or no opportunity to discuss and discern, could lead to an inability to participate in and manage …
