The objectives of the present study were to (a) develop an interview procedure for selection of fast food restaurant swing managers that would be valid, reliable, and usable, and (b) determine the personal, situational, and business characteristics that best predict swing manager performance. Instrument development and pilot testing were conducted in Iowa with the assistance of a six-person advisory panel. The overall purpose of this study was to determine how schools are incorporating health concepts into their curricula. A sample of 148 Iowa secondary school health teachers, 97 (66%) females and 51 (34%) males responded to a health education survey related to two specific purposes of the study, which were to examine: (1) organizational aspects of health curricula for grades nine through twelve, and (2) secondary school health teachers' attitudes toward the eleven health strands that make up one unit of health as mandated by the Iowa General Assembly. The purpose of this research was to investigate the interrelations among and between indicators of nutritional status, living environment, and school performance of first through third grade primary school children living in low socioeconomic areas in Khartoum, Sudan. Subjects were 198 first through third grade males and females enrolled in six primary schools in three urban, low socioeconomic areas of Khartoum. The purposes of this study were (1) to develop a model of career choice by college students, (2) to identify variables influencing college students' choice of home economics careers, and (3) to determine the impact of the interactions of these variables on college students' choice of home economics careers.
