A complete report to the faculty concerning policies for promotion at Brockport. Criteria for evaluation include: Mastery of subject matter, Effectiveness in teaching, Scholarly ability, Effectiveness of University service, and Continuing growth. Defines and gives the basis of appointment and continuing appointment for: Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor, and Lecturer and/or Visiting Professor. Ends with procedures for implementing promotions.

College Senate Resolutions

The Faculty Senate Committee on Environment recommends the Reaffirmation of the Composite Faculty Salary Proposal accepted by the Faculty-at-Large, January 1, 1969, as a Revised Proposal. In light of the September, 1969 CUNY salary proposal, the Committee also recommends a more recent scale and the following points - spelled out in attached document.

Calls for Departmental Salary Inequities committee to be established starting in the 1969-1970 academic year. Puts the responsibility for this under the Appointments and Promotion committee, if it currently exists. Where no such committee exists, one should be formed. Provides guidelines for committees to use in arriving at recommendations.
