This project explains how the integration of innovative methods for teaching Shakespeare's works, and the works of other canonical authors, can increase motivation and achievement among 21st century students in the secondary classroom. It provides a rationale for the continued use of Shakespeare's works as part of the secondary curriculum, as well as an overview of common problems associated with teaching Shakespeare today. This paper discusses brain-based learning and its relation to classroom instruction. A growing quantity of research currently exists regarding how the brain perceives, processes, and ultimately learns new information. This author presents the concept that the basic mechanical drawing course at Pueblo Community College is no longer relevant to the graphics skills required in industry and should not be a prerequisite in the civil engineering technology curriculum. A review of literature reveals that basic mechanical drawing courses are not routinely integrated into civil engineering technology programs in the Colorado Community College System. The literature shows that the majority of programs in the community college system utilize computer aided drafting as the prerequisite. While a number of these methods and theories have come and gone, guided reading, running records, and miscue analysis have proven to provide educators with the resources needed to understand the variety of reading behaviors children have. In this research project, the author presents a 6 week curricular unit that will be implemented at Soroco Middle School as a component of the Grade 7 language arts curriculum. As the role of specialist physicians becomes busier, many of their traditional teaching expectations have been transferred to residents and medical students. Teaching introductory philosophy is a difficult task due to the intricate nature of the subject matter. English Language Learners struggle on a daily basis upon entering United States schools. The delivery of ELL content has been addressed on a regular basis; however, the design of ELL curriculum does not receive adequate attention. In this project, the author created a Power Point presentation that assists educators with a foundation of origin for ELLs, addresses the need for concentration of ELL curriculum development, reminds the audience of textbook bias, and presents a variety of coteaching models. For many years law enforcement organizations have struggled to recruit personnel. At the same time, local community members have demanded that these same law enforcement organizations adapt their organizations to reflect the communities that they serve. In this project, the author reviewed programs utilized by other organizations and a limited number of police departments. The purpose of this project was to add an additional tool to supplement classroom training for customer service representatives (CSRs) at a large insurance company. Research has shown that customer service survey results are negatively impacted by a lack of knowledge and experience in CSRs. A mentor program was designed to provide new CSRs with support immediately after completion of formal training, which allows them to gain experience, knowledge and confidence in a protected environment, before joining the customer service unit.
